One of the things that I like most about my job is that I don't have to work on any of those days or times that my children need me most. I don't have to work on Saturdays - but sometimes I choose to. However, there is a fine line between squeezing in Saturday work and neglecting the priorities of the day. So, my Saturday motto is "Family First."
On Saturdays - like today - if I am squeezing in a blog post, or processing a clients order, or taking a call from a coaching client, or designing programs for Papillon Libre, or anything else that doesn't fit within the 'family' category - I simply keep it all in perspective. If my boy's interrupt me - that's their right. After all, this is their day! I have to be willing to put it aside and save it for a work day but happy to squeeze in any work on Saturday that will increase the success of my workweek.
For more information on how NOT to work on Saturdays email [email protected]. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
