I took some time this week to interview our first featured Woman Owned Business to accompany the launch of our official Women Get Rich Too! website. What struck me most about this very successful and beautiful individual is how the services that she ultimately chose to offer - sort of came to her naturally. People liked what she did and kept asking her, and eventually hiring her, to do this for them!
Let me follow this reflection with another! Yesterday my children and I drove by a building that has hosted a bazillion (no exaggeration) restaurant/bar style businesses. So this month, it hosts a new Italian Style Bistro. I imagine that the very many previous owners liked their food - or liked what they like - and decided "well, everyone else will like what we like too!" With that thought, they jump in, investment first, into a new business. The more savvy will have a business plan that hopefully is tried and true, while most will develop that the next time around.
Do you see the difference? The former was developed by facts while the latter by assumption or an idea. Who do you think will last the longest?
